Pilosella aerial parts (Hieracium pilosella L.) dry extract, Couch grass rhizome (Agropyron repens Beauv.) dry extract, Green Tea leaves (Camellia sinensis (L.) The Pilosella is mainly a potent diuretic, which doubles the volume of urine, and therefore is used in herbal medicine in the treatment of cellulite, swelling of the ankles, edema of the lower limbs, especially if water retention resulting in food or pharmacological treatments disorders. Thanks to this draining action it favors the elimination of toxins, useful in case of hypertension, high blood urea nitrogen, uric acid and rheumatism. At Pilosella, in fact, it is also recognized the ability to promote excretion and bile flow (it has choleretic and cholagogue action), which contributes to liver detoxification. The plant is especially useful in the presence of uric stones and helps to cleanse the blood from the excess of the rich diet in animal protein.
At the Couch grass are attributed diuretic, purifying and anti-inflammatory effects. More precisely, these activities are attributable to the saponins, polyphenols, essential oil and triticina contained within the plant itself. Although not available controlled clinical trials can confirm the above-mentioned properties, the use of this plants has still got the official approval for the treatment of urinary tract infections and for the prevention of kidney stones.
Tea is traditionally consumed as a beverage. Evidence from clinical trials suggests that green tea plays a role in metabolic syndrome because it may have an impact on body weight, glucose homeostasis, and other cardiovascular risk factors.
The plants is known for its diuretic, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, particularly suitable for the draining action useful in case of water retention and cellulite, for the inflammation of the lower urinary tract, such as cystitis and urethritis, such as prevention of so-called renal sand (gravel) and in bladder and kidney stones. Its draining and cleansing of metabolic waste makes it an adjuvant remedy for hyperuricemia and gout.
